Street Performance World Championships 2009 held in Merrion Square in Dublin featured contortionists, jugglers, dancers, etc... all battling it out for "the most coveted title in street performance". My favourites were: Mr Toons (green balloon headed fire jugglers from Denmark), Alakazam (pole standing, knife juggler from AU) and Bendy Em (a contortionist).
Located in the Glendalough Valley (Irish for "Glen of Two Lakes") WMNP sits in a glacial valley in County Wicklow. We hiked past the Lower Lake to the Upper Lake. Beautiful paths and trees. We plan to go back to get more hiking in later this summer. We stayed at a nearby B&B called the Tudor House, ate our 1 yr anniversary dinner of Wicklow venison and barnaby duck at the Heather Restaurant in Laragh.
Emily completed a 4.5 hr climb up the Croagh Patrick this past week - barefoot! Something I'm not sure I would be able to do. Way to go Em! Read more about it on her blog here.
Scott May's DAREDEVIL Stunt Show: I got to see this show in Dublin at the Shelbourne Park Stadium. Stunts included car crashes, walls of fire, human cannon ball, fire jump, two wheel driving & bike jumps. More kids attended than I expected.
