Poquoson Yacht Club: 2011 Chili Cook Off

Emily put her culinary training to good use this afternoon as one of three judges at the Poquoson Yacht Club's annual chili cook off competition. Twelve cups of chili later, we were both stuffed to the gills.

Roll Your Own Night

Roll your own sushi night at the McCarleys'. Some green tea with a brown rice infusion, edamame, miso soup, spicy tuna rolls, tuna rolls, veggie rolls, tuna sushi with some really spicy wasabi was on the table this evening. Emily showed everyone how to roll and then cut their own sushi and we ate until stuffed. Our first "full" game of 'Ticket To Ride' was played with the max five players. Emily emerged victorious with a score of 136, followed by a second place tie of 134 apiece for Bruza and Carl, Perry came in third with 114 and I finished dead-ass last at 101. Good food, gaming and company. That's how we do it here in Poquoson.
